mark Flounlacker studied Psychology and dispute resolution at Salisbury university EARNING A BA IN PSYCHOLOGY AND A MINOR IN CONFLICT ANALYSIS/DISPUTe RESOLUTION. He spent nearly his entire career as a contractor on the eastern shore. He has extensive experience with residential and commercial new construction as well as retail tenant build out and alteration.
In 2011, Mark was paralyzed in an accident. he began to experience the world in a different way. mark began to recognize all the barriers faced by individuals with disability. HE REALIZED HE WAS OFTEN TIMES LIMITED IN WHAT HE WAS ABLE TO DO. NOT BECAUSE OF HIS DISABILITY BUT BY LIMITED ACCESS.
MARK REALIZED A NEED TO EDUCATE BUSINESS OWNERS ABOUT THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT AND ITS GUIDLINES ON BARRIER REMOVAL.
HE RECOGNIZED THAT MANY BUSINESS OWNERS JUST DIDN'T KNOW THESE ISSUES EXISTED AT THEIR ESTABLISHMENTS NOR HOW EASILY MOST COULD REMEDIED.
MARK BELIEVES ACCESS IS GOOD BUSINESS AND MOST BUSINESS OWNERS MAKE IT A PRIORITY TO IMPROVE THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE AND WISH TO BE OPEN AND ACCESSIBLE TO ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS. mark's goal is to provide these business owners with the tools to recognize access issues and how to prioritize improvements to help them serve all their customers.
